The warm, sunny days of spring can only mean one thing. Summer just around the corner? – No. The yearly anniversary of Armin’s award winning ‘A State of Trance’ radio show? – Yes! And every year the celebrations seem to become more extravagant and exciting than ever before. Last year the RicoP team headed over to Antwerp for a free party in Club Noxx with Roger Shah, John O’Callaghan, Aly & Fila, Markus Schulz and of course Mr van Buuren himself. But this year, we see a three day long event, in three countries, involving more DJ’s than ever before.

Festivities kick off at Club Bhutan in Wuppertal, Germany on Thursday April 16th. Alongside Armin are guests Daniel Kandi, Gareth Emery, Roger Shah, Super 8 & Tab, and many more. The second night, at Air in Birmingham, England features Markus Schulz, Sied van Riel and Simon Patterson to name but a few. And the party finale is being held at Maassilo in Rotterdam on the Saturday evening (18th April) with DJ’s from the previous two nights as well as Ronski Speed, Nitrous Oxide, Richard Durand and Cosmic Gate complementing an already immense list.

Throughout the whole three day experience, A State of Trance will be broadcast live around the world via many of the regular FM stations and over the internet. This 72 hour feed will include guest mixes from the scenes biggest names, a list which would take up this entire article. There will also be the opportunity to re-listen to vintage episodes of A State of Trance as well as popular episodes over the past few years. To complete the experience, all three nights will broadcast a direct video link over the www.astateoftrance.com website.

Such a fundamental radio show in the scene and one of the most important shows for new music on the internet and FM radio, A State of Trance now attracts 27 million listeners a week. A staggering figure that has grown consistently over the past eight years. And what better way of celebrating than a huge three day international party?!
